Dallam have been successfully running academic courses for many years and are proud of their reputation as providers of highly practical and student-centred programmes.     4. Now in its 11th year, our NCFE course is as popular as ever, attracting students of various ages (typically 16 – 50 years) and from all walks of life. Many are looking towards employment within the outdoor industry.
      The course runs on Thursdays and Fridays from the end of September to the end of May and has the highest taught practical content of any comparable adult outdoor education provision that we know of—about 80%. This is supplemented by five highly relevant academic units, which, if completed successfully, lead to certification. This course is ideal for anyone over 16 who is interested in a career in the outdoor industry, for personal development both physically and academically, to improve outdoor qualifications or for recreation as part of a lifestyle change. The student group is typically diverse in every way. No previous experience is necessary.

    1. BTEC National Award in Sport (Outdoor Education)

    2. Ages 16 - 19
    3. Course price: £95
    4. Our successful BTEC course is a highly practical programme, suitable for 16 - 19 year old students. The timetable is compatible with most A Levels at Dallam and other Outdoor Education courses such as our Level 3 NCFE Certificate in the Outdoor Industry. The Award course will take place on Wednesdays from mid September to July with additional time spent away on a 5 day canoe expedition in November.*

Eligibility for Discounts:

If you can claim any of the following concessions or are in receipt of any of the following benefits you will be entitled to a discount on your fees. You must pay the Certificate Fee for your course but will not have to pay the Course Fee. All BTEC students are entitled to a discount as they are between the ages of 16 - 19 and this discount is included in the advertised course cost. Eligible NCFE students will only be liable to pay £295 towards their course.
